Short answer: Fuelin costs $29 a month or $139 a year for the app on its own, which Fuelin calls Autopilot. If you want a human nutrition coach on top, the Copilot plan costs $99 a month or $399 a year. There is no free version. Prices checked October 2026 on Fuelin’s own pricing page and its US App Store listing.

Below you will find what each plan includes, what Fuelin really costs over a year, how the trial works, and how the price compares with Hexis, Saturday and Mavr. Mavr publishes this article, so we also say where Fuelin is the better buy.

These are US prices in US dollars. App Store prices change by country and can include local tax, so the number on your phone may be different. Fuelin’s web pricing page shows the Autopilot prices only. The Copilot prices come from the in-app purchase list on the US App Store.

What the Autopilot plan includes

Autopilot is the app with no human coach. The App Store listing calls it an adaptive nutrition coach that tells you what to eat based on your training, biology and goals. Fuelin’s pricing page lists these features for the plan:

  • A personalized daily nutrition and fueling plan for training and racing.
  • AI food logging and Smart Meal recommendations.
  • More than 100 recipes timed to your training week.
  • A private athlete community on Facebook.
  • Partner discounts that Fuelin values at more than $150.

Fuelin connects to a long list of training platforms. The App Store listing names Strava, TrainingPeaks, V.O2, Final Surge, HumanGO, TriDot, RunDot and Garmin, plus MyFitnessPal and LoseIt for food you already log there. If your coach writes your plan in one of those tools, that is a real plus.

What the Copilot plan adds

Copilot includes everything in Autopilot, plus 1:1 messaging with a Fuelin nutrition coach and live coaching sessions every two weeks. Fuelin says its programme was built by nutrition coach Scott Tindal, sports dietitian Dr. Alan McCubbin, and registered dietitian Megan Foley.

This is the part of Fuelin that most apps cannot copy. A person can read your food log, ask about your stomach, your sleep or your work shifts, and change the plan with you. If you want that, Copilot is the plan to look at. If you do not want it, you are paying $70 a month more for something you will not use.

Is there a Fuelin free trial?

Fuelin sends mixed signals here. The FAQ on its homepage says it does not offer a free trial, because the app works best when you are all in. Its web checkout page, which we opened in October 2026, shows a 7-day period at $0 today with a promise that you can cancel in the first 7 days and pay nothing. After 7 days it turns into the yearly plan at $139 unless you cancel.

So in practice you can try the yearly Autopilot plan for a week through the web checkout. Set a reminder for day 6 if you are not sure, because the full year is charged after that. On the App Store, the listing does not mention a trial.

What Fuelin costs over a year

How you payCost for 12 monthsPer month
Autopilot, yearly$139about $11.58
Autopilot, monthly$348$29
Copilot, yearly$399about $33.25
Copilot, monthly$1,188$99

The yearly plan saves 60 percent on Autopilot and about 66 percent on Copilot, if you use Fuelin all year. Monthly makes sense for one race block. A 16-week marathon build on monthly Autopilot is four payments of $29, so $116, which is less than the yearly plan. A full season of Copilot is much cheaper yearly than monthly.

Who Fuelin is worth the money for

  • Athletes who want a real person: Copilot gives you a coach for far less than most private sessions.
  • Athletes whose coach plans in TriDot, Final Surge, HumanGO, RunDot or V.O2: Fuelin links to more of these tools than most nutrition apps.
  • Android users: Fuelin is on both the App Store and Google Play.
  • People who want recipes and a meal plan, not just numbers: recipes and Smart Meals are part of every plan.

When a cheaper or different app makes more sense

  • You only need race and workout fuel: Saturday covers carbs, fluid and sodium per hour for much less.
  • You want to log every meal and follow carb colours: Hexis is built around that.
  • You want daily targets that move with your training plan, plus a race plan and an AI coach you can ask: Mavr fits.
  • You have a medical condition, a history of disordered eating, or signs of RED-S: see a registered sports dietitian, not an app.

Fuelin vs Mavr on price and features

Mavr reads your training calendar and sets carbs, protein, calories and hydration for each day. Easy days get less, long and hard days get more. It gives pre-, during- and post-workout timing, a race-day plan with carb-loading and in-race carb targets, and fluid and sodium guidance that scales with heat and session length. You can log meals by photo or voice and ask Kai, the AI nutrition coach, what to eat before a session. It syncs with Runna, Strava, TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu and Apple Health, which brings in Garmin, Coros and WHOOP data.

Where Fuelin is better: it has a human coach option, more coaching-platform integrations, and an Android app. Mavr is iPhone only today. Where Mavr may suit you better: it starts with a free trial with full access, it supports Hyrox as a sport, and it connects to Runna. If you are choosing between the two, our full Mavr vs Fuelin comparison goes feature by feature.

Verdict

Fuelin Autopilot at $139 a year is fair value if you use it all year and like its recipes and integrations. Copilot at $399 a year is the one to pick if you want a human coach inside the app. If you only want software that turns your training into daily fuel and race plans, try Mavr or Hexis first and compare how much each one actually helps you in a normal training week.
